Co-founder of CIPP, Alvin Quiñones has more than 18 years of experience working as an entrepreneur, for government and as a consultant to governments and private sector. He is currently co-founder and COO of Claris Data, a health information technology start-up. He is also founder of two other companies in the consumer goods and food services industry. Beyond these responsibilities, Mr. Quiñones serves as a consultant to a variety of health care organizations and information technology start-ups. Prior to these endeavors, he was Director of Professional Services for Health Access Solutions, Inc. based in San Francisco, California. Mr. Quiñones began his career in the United States Air Force as a Communications and Information Officer. Upon attaining his Master’s Degree, he worked for MAXIMUS Consulting. While there he supported a process modeling analysis of federal Medicare appeals reviews, worked with Los Angeles County welfare to work program, conducted an analysis of the Puerto Rico Department of Health, and led a Medicaid fraud, waste, and abuse initiative for the New York State Department of Health. He holds both a BS in computer science and a MS in Public Policy from the University of Chicago.
